When I was 9 years old, my parents, sister and I moved to British Columbia. Having moved from my hometown in Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain), that year and a half that we spent abroad, and without even noticing, I learnt a new language and discovered many different cultures. Back then I remember my mother taking photographs of our collective experience as a family and persuading them into buying me my first camera, the Polaroid I-Zone that was advertised by Britney Spears. Since that moment on, I have had both a growing interest in photography as well as of living in different places. I am currently based in NYC where I moved more permanently in 2021 thanks to a Fulbright Scholarship to complete an academic year at the International Center of Photography.
