An Echo from International Center of Photography’s Triennial “A Different Kind of Order” at the ICP/Bard MFA Studios in Long Island City
Friday, September 20 the International Center of Photography will present a pop-up reading room and shop echoing the remarkable artists’ book installation in the exhibition “A Different Kind of Order.”
Last year, ICP Triennial curators researched the artist book component of the Triennial at the New York Art Book Fair. This year the exhibition, at the Galleries of the International Center of Photography, will be having its closing weekend in Mid-town Manhattan while the Fair rages 3 stops away on the #7 Train.
ICP is bringing a portable selection of the artist books from the exhibition over to its MFA studios, neighbors of PS1 in Long Island City.
The ICP Store will be selling select artist books, many by faculty and alumni of ICP, as well as other book-related material.
At 5:00 pm, Ron Jude will be signing Fires, an exhibition catalog/zine, designed by the artist. For more info.
There will be a Wrap Party for the ICP Triennial’s artists’ books at 6:00pm
