The International Center of Photography is pleased to announce the publication of Acto de Fe: A Soldier’s Manda, an artist’s book by Brian Paumier. The limited edition will be exclusively given to Friends of ICP Library.
Brian Paumier is a 2012 graduate of the ICP-Bard MFA program, and a successful artist and photographer as half of the team TrujilloPaumier, responsible for the successful recent exhibit at Christopher Henry Gallery in New York called Yo Como Recuerdo (How I Remember You).
Paumier’s enthralling video Acto de Fe filmed in Zacatacas, Mexico was shown there, which generates several fractured narratives that explore the ritualistic constructs of masculinity.
The book is being designed by the artist with Javas Lehn and Sue Medlicott is production advisor.
