November 30 | Friday | 6 pm ICP library, School at ICP, 1114 Avenue of the Americas Join us for an unmediated conversation about the Strike Anywhere exhibition exploring the questions it raises about imagery, Occupy, and other forms of protest. This is a chance to connect and compare observations and experiences. We’ll discuss both the imagery in the show and what’s possible or missing; connections betweenStrike Anywhere and the Rise and Fall of Apartheid: Photography and the Bureaucracy of Everyday Lifeexhibition; the importance of archival documentation to make connections between similar struggles throughout history; and the questions raised for photographers by the direct action model of S17. If you’d like to project any images as part of this discussion, please send them to alumnishow@icp.edu. Snacks and refreshments will be potluck—please feel free to bring something to share. Please RSVP to alumnishow@icp.edu ASAP |
