The “I” in International

Cornell Capa called the International Center of Photography the “Home for Photographers,” and he truly welcomed his colleagues from the whole planet. And they flocked to him, and still migrate to the ICP when they pass through Midtown Manhattan, poking their noses into the library and shyly inquiring whether they might take a look.

Oh, yes. The library’s collection is filled with treasures in many languages, but few with as charming an inscription as this.

Tore Johnson presents this 1964 book on seal hunting in the Baltic to Cornell Capa, saying that he bets he cannot read it. If you can, pass by…it is a rare book call number TR820.5.S8 .S861 1964
